JACOBI BAIN SNAGS SECOND TITLE IN TWO WEEKS

The switch-hitting Bahamian, Jacobi Bain, captured his second consecutive One-On-One Doubles Championship at the Inspiration Academy in Bradenton, Fl.
Bain, who stars at Xavier University of Louisiana, defeated Max Blancaneux, former Boise State standout, 4-1 in the Final.

Blancaneux, who played some on the ATP Tour, really liked the format. ” I really think the game’s mandatory serve-and-volley rule is going to help my Singles game. The two point bonus, for winning volleys and overheads, allows me to compete and close the net with a lot of confidence. This is my second tournament playing the One-On-OneDoubles format and it is a ton of action packed fun!”, stated Blancaneux, who is also teaching at the Inspiration Academy.

The tournament draw of 40 players included 30 juniors, 8 college players, and two professional players.

This was the third event in the Shootout series of 4 events this month of June at the Inspiration Academy.
