HOLLYWOOD’S BLUE- CHIP RECRUIT, KAYLAN BIGUN, CAPTURES ONE-ON-ONE DOUBLES SHOOTOUT #4
Hollywood, California is known as the home to the movie stars; It should also be known as the home to up- and- coming junior tennis star, Kayan Biguns. Biguns, who is ranked # 1 in California and #3 in the US on the Tennis Recruiting Network, travelled to Bradenton, Florida for some training and competition. Biguns defeated a combination of six junior and college players en route to capturing his first One-On-One Doubles championship played at Bradenton’s Inspiration Academy. Biguns narrowly defeated Division 1 player, Matthew Estwick-Foster, from Hampton University, 4-3(7-5) in the Final. Biguns stated ” I like how the game is very fast and unpredictable. It truly takes a lot of finesse and reaction to win”.
Biguns has two more years of Junior Tennis competition before entering into the college tennis ranks. Biguns is already ranked #80 in the ITF Junior World Rankings.
This fourth Junior & Collegiate One-On-One Doubles Prize $ UTR Tournament, held at the Inspiration Academy, in Bradenton, hosted a full 32 player draw. Players competed in fast four sets with the winner of each court advancing to the event’s Quarterfinals.
